PRINCE NWANKWO’S PHILANTHROPIC AND STREET OUTREACH PROJECT

PRINCE NWANKWO’S PHILANTHROPIC AND STREET OUTREACH PROJECT (Empowering people through Dignity, not just Charity) Direct Impact: Over 500 widows, physically challenged, and less privileged persons in Nigeria
A. Project Overview Prince Nwankwo’s Philanthropic and Street Outreach Project is not just a charity, it is a movement of kindness, empowerment, and human dignity. For over a decade, Prince has committed to assisting in transforming lives in Nigeria by going where the people are; on the streets, in markets, and in marginalized communities, offering more than handouts, but hope, human connection, and a path towards a better life. What distinguishes this initiative is its direct, personal approach. Prince does not wait for office appointments or platform calls for the poor to come to him. Instead, he goes out himself, sometimes unannounced, and speaks to the needy face-to-face. He listens to them, discerns their real needs, and acts with targeted help that inspires, rebuilds, and empowers.

C. JUST FIVE SELECTED REAL-LIFE EXAMPLES OF TRANSFORMATION:
#1 – Chibuike’s Story: A Fatherless Child rescued from the Streets
In 2023, Prince encountered Chibuike, an 11-year-old boy hawking bananas in the rain during school hours in Anambra State, Nigeria. Upon speaking with the boy, Prince discovered that Chibuike had dropped out of school in Primary 2 due to his widowed mother’s inability to afford school fees. He had seven siblings, and all of them hawked daily just to survive. Chibuike’s mother, a widow, did all kinds of menial jobs; farming for people, washing plates at events, and any other available work, just to feed and care for her eight children.
Since then, Prince has:
- Sent two of the woman’s children back to school.
- Funded her startup business to support the family.
- Donated over ₦500,000 worth of foodstuff and financial aid from 2023 to date
Today, Chibuike is back in school, and his family is on the path to financial independence, thanks to Prince’s timely and heartfelt intervention. Prince, planting the seed of hope in the land of despair.
#2 – Mama’s Story: A Mother’s pain, A Family’s struggle, and A Lifeline of hope
Mama’s story is one that would break even the hardest of hearts. A physically challenged woman battling advanced diabetes, Mama’s world was turned upside down when a seemingly minor injury on her right leg refused to heal. With time, infection spread rapidly. Despite their limited resources, the family did everything they could. But the inevitable happened, her right leg had to be amputated to save her life.

Already reeling from the trauma and physical limitation, Mama suffered a second emotional blow when one of her daughters, just a teenager, developed a similar condition. Due to complications and delay in accessing proper care, the girl’s right leg was also amputated (at the ankle). Now Mama is confined to wheelchair, living in extreme vulnerability, barely able to navigate life. Prince discovered Mama’s family during one of his outreach missions in 2023, and was immediately overwhelmed by the depth of their suffering and their resilience despite it all. With no media attention, no fundraising campaign, and no prior connection to the family, Prince did what he has always done, stepped in with compassion and action.
Since then, Prince has:
- Supported the family with over ₦400,000 in cash and supplies from 2023 to date.
- Offered emotional comfort and spiritual encouragement, visiting the family personally on several occasions.
Today, Mama still struggles daily, but she does not feel forgotten. Through Prince’s outreach, she and her daughter have found not just relief, but dignity, in knowing that someone cares enough to stand with them through unimaginable adversity. “It is not easy. But each time Prince comes to visit or sends food or money, I feel like we still matter… that God has not forgotten us.” – Mama said during one of our visits. Their story is not just about illness or amputation, it is about the power of showing up. The power of responding to suffering with humanity. Prince’s unwavering support for Mama’s family exemplifies the mission of his outreach: uplifting lives through dignity, empathy, and real support.
#3 – Ndubuisi’s Story: A Physically Challenged Orphan with Big Dreams
In 2024, Prince met Ndubuisi, a physically challenged orphan and beneficiary of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s empowerment programme, “One Youth, Two Skills.” This bold initiative by the Executive Governor of Anambra State aims to empower one million Anambra youths through vocational training, entrepreneurship, and digital skills. The programme emphasizes sustainable economic independence through strategic skill acquisition. Prince has been serving as a coordinator and lead facilitator of the programme at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko Centre, mentoring hundreds of youths; including Ndubuisi, in business development, marketing, development of business plan, branding, and startup management.
Ndubuisi, who enrolled under the “Shoe Making” skill category, immediately stood out. Despite his physical limitations and lack of family support, he displayed extraordinary determination, creativity, and passion for shoemaking. Prince was deeply touched by his resilience and immediately took interest in his journey. From March 2024 to May 2025, Prince has:
- Supported Ndubuisi with cash and foodstuff worth over ₦300,000.
- Regularly supplied him with foodstuffs.
- Provided emotional mentorship and encouragement, keeping him motivated to complete his apprenticeship.
Ndubuisi is still with his master, learning and perfecting his trade. However, Prince is now looking for partners to help Ndubuisi establish his own shoemaking factory, a bold step toward independence and employment generation for others. In addition, Prince is making a heartfelt appeal to the general public to partner with him in purchasing an electric wheelchair for him to improve his mobility and enhance his daily productivity. This is more than philanthropy. This is visionary kindness. Prince is not only helping Ndubuisi survive, he is preparing him to thrive, lead, and inspire others who share similar challenges. “The love and care we show to others give them hope for a better tomorrow” – Prince Nwankwo
#4 – Papa’ Story: A Story of Dignity and Compassion
In 2021, Prince had a life-changing encounter while driving to work at Oko, Anambra State, Nigeria. He saw a physically challenged elderly man who repairs footwear (cobbler), by the roadside to sustain his family. Despite his age (over 75 years old) and physical limitations, Papa displayed remarkable determination and humility. Every morning, he set out to his small roadside workspace, not to beg, but to earn an honest living through his craft. What struck Prince most was not Papa’s disability, but his dignity, his refusal to seek pity, and his unwavering commitment to hard work. Deeply moved by his resilience, Prince formed a lasting bond with Papa and took immediate steps to support him and his household.
Since that day, Prince has:
- Provided over ₦400,000 worth of support, including food supplies and financial aid.
- Continued to check in regularly, offering not just material support, but love, empathy, and friendship.
Papa remains a living testament to Prince’s idea that, with just a little help, people can rise beyond their challenges and live with pride.
“With even the smallest act of support, individuals can overcome their challenges and rise to live with dignity and pride.” – Prince Nwankwo..!!
#5 – A Ray of Hope: Prince pays ₦45, 000 School Fees for Physically Challenged Student, Ifebuche
In a heartwarming act of compassion and generosity, Prince Nwankwo, has paid the school fees of ₦45, 000 for Ifebuche, a physically challenged student at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko. Ifebuche, a determined young girl, had faced serious financial constraints that almost cut short her academic journey. With little support from her mother following the death of her father and the added challenges of her disability, she was at the brink of missing her semester examination when help came unexpectedly. Moved by her story and resilience, Prince stepped in without hesitation. His timely intervention not only lifted the financial burden but also rekindled Ifebuche’s hope in humanity.
“I was already losing hope. I didn’t know how I could raise ₦45, 000 before the deadline. But God sent someone I didn’t expect. Prince saw me not as a girl on crutches, but as a student with dreams,” – Ifebuche, as tears rolled down her cheeks. “True greatness is not in what we have, but in how we lift others around us. If one life breathes easier because of you, then your legacy has already begun.” – Prince Nwankwo
D. May 2025 Outreach: A Fresh Wave of Hope for the Vulnerable
In May 2025, Prince through his foundation “Prince Technology and Community Development Foundation (a registered NGO in Nigeria)” continued his mission of hope by sharing ₦200,000 (₦20, 000 each) to 10 widows, physically challenged individuals, and less privileged persons in Anambra State, Nigeria. This contribution, aimed at alleviating the immediate struggles of those still facing financial hardship, reflects Prince’s commitment to creating lasting impact through practical aid. Each beneficiary of this donation received support, not just as a one-off gesture, but as a step toward stability and empowerment. With this latest contribution, Prince has shown that, even in the face of broader social and economic challenges, individual acts of kindness can transform lives. Here are the pictures of our eight (8) beneficiaries; two received their support via online money transfer.

F. Summary (street outreach project):
Prince Nwankwo’s Philanthropic and Street Outreach Project is a good testimonial to the strength of one individual’s compassion, commitment, and action in transforming lives. Prince’s project is a model of genuine humanitarianism, not driven by appearances but by sincere service that begins with learning the true, immediate needs of those being served. His approach is rooted in the principle that true philanthropy goes beyond temporary handouts. By physically engaging with those in need; whether in the rain, dusty markets, or on precarious streets, Prince provides more than material aid. He restores dignity, rekindles hope, and most importantly, rebuilds lives. His outreach project has touched the lives of over 500 widows, physically challenged individuals, and less privileged persons, delivering practical, long-lasting solutions to their struggles.
Through stories like Chibuike’s, we see how saving a child from the streets can change the course of his life. The story of Ndubuisi underscores how an act of kindness can ignite the spark of entrepreneurship in a physically challenged orphan, despite overwhelming adversity. These stories are not isolated incidents, they are daily reminders of a life lived with purpose, empathy, and determination to make a difference.
With well over ₦5 million worth of investment so far, Prince’s Street Outreach Project stands as an icon of people-centric leadership. It illustrates that the transformation of the world starts by transforming one life at a time, and such transformation occurs through ongoing, hands-on work towards empowering the most vulnerable. This is not philanthropy; it is leadership with a face. This is a show of what it means to live and give with purpose and compassion, to give dignity in action.
Prince’s Street Outreach Project is a dedication to the power of human relationships, empathy, and mindful action, an inspiration that demonstrates true change begins with one individual choosing to make a difference, one life at a time. “Together, we can make this world a better place for all of us” – Prince Nwankwo.!!
