AUTOMATIC FAN SPEED REGULATOR USING VOICE COMMAND OR MOBILE APPLICATION – Invented by Engr. Prince Nwankwo (The winner of the Inventors Award of the Year 2022 in Nigeria)..!!

A. Project Overview: The world has witnessed revolutionary changes in home automation, remote control, and smart monitoring systems over the past few years. With technology continuously evolving, residential as well as industrial automation solutions are increasingly being incorporated into modern living standards. However, one major limitation still remains with the manner in which common fans; both ceiling and standing, are still operated manually using traditional voltage regulators with fixed speed stages.

This method is disadvantageous to disabled individuals and elderly individuals who find it hard to access or adjust manual regulators. To address this imbalance, the “Automatic Fan Speed Regulator Using Voice Command or Mobile Application” offers an equal, intelligent, and accessible alternative.

B. Innovation Description: Prince Nwankwo designed this revolutionary device, which allows users to remotely control the speed of a fan using voice commands or an application on their phones. The system incorporates smart technologies to enhance convenience, ease of use, and energy efficiency. Either through voice instructions or taps on a smartphone application interface, fans’ speed levels can be simply changed remotely without needing to physically touch traditional switches. The system is designed to work best within a range of 0 to 10 metres (approximately 33 feet), and thus it is ideal for applications in bedrooms, living rooms, offices, and other indoor/outdoor spaces.
